Tillandsia Wine Glass
This would be my new current addiction...air plants. So fun and easy to grow and you can really just grow them anywhere, attached (or unattached) to virtually anything. They really wont complain unless you deprive them of light and water.
Who doesnt need one of these to keep them company on their desk at work? And they take up very little room also. Easy to water...pluck them from the sand 3x a week and run in the bathroom and hold under cool water for a minute, allow to dry and put back in the sand. EASY!
I have an endless supply of ideas floating around in my head right now of things I can make and incorporate these awesome little plants. Love them!
I will be making a set of three Martini Glasses next...I will post pics next week.

Shadow Boxes
Greetings! I am starting on a small project today with 3 plain little shadow boxes. I will be posting pics as I go. So far I have sanded. . .and I am still deciding what the finished look will be. I will probably use the pink and green paint that I have from the step stool project and I also have some more butterflies.
I was not satisified with the color of pink on the butterflies to coordinate with the scrapbook paper I will be using for the shelves, so I mod podged new wings on them that will better match. Just took some tracing paper and made a wing template and then traced around on the scrapbook paper and cut out with scallop scissors. Unfortunately I tend to be a perfectionist and these are the things I do to get things to go my way. :)
I have put primer on the shelves and I did a little more sanding and now I'm ready to paint. . .my favorite part! I have balanced these two shelves on vegetable cans so I can paint with them a bit elevated. I wont be painting the inside flat part since I am putting scrap book paper there.
Now I have finished my painting above and also added the clear coat below. The 3rd little shelf is around somewhere. I will get it in the pic next time. They are looking pretty good so far! Im starting to see a bit of a mess beginning in my work space (a.k.a. my kitchen table with an old piece of fabric). Think I will straighten up tonight and then resume the project tomorrow. This going to work all day is really keeping my productivity down! :)
Tonight I finished mod podging new wings on all three butterflies. . .looks cute! Since it is 11:15pm now, I will resume the fun tomorrow.
I lined two of the shelves tonight...I will hopefully be done completely tomorrow. I quit when I knocked over my bottle of Mod Podge (gasp) on my work area. So after that I decided to clean up and call it a night.
I have finished my project! Yay! I think they turned out super cute. Thanks for following along with my project. :)
